Molecular Hydrogen (H2) is the smallest antioxidant in existence. Other antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E and coenzyme Q10 are vey large molecules compared to Hydrogen and need to go though your digestive tract, absorbed in your intestines, travel through your blood and enter your cells before they can eliminate free radicals.

H2 is so small that it can penetrate through your stomach lining to begin acting inside your cells immediately. H2 is also in a gaseous state so it basically floats through cells (rapid diffusion) and perform its function as an antioxidant. Each molecule of H2 can convert two hydroxyl radicals into water hydrating your cells. Therefore even at high concentrations Hydrogen has zero toxicity. Any excess H2 simply gets released from the body.

H2 not only neutralises hydroxyl radicals directly but it helps your antioxidant enzymes such as glutathione peroxidase, superoxide dismutase and catalase.

Research by Professor Hatan Gyazuki of Shitama University in Japan has shown that consuming 1.5 litres of hydrogen water a day has the same antioxidant effect as consuming 516 apples, 756 bananas, 38 carrots, 45 spinach leaves or 3.7 pumpkins.
